James Bennett was born in Uxbridge on 13 June 1831. He married Catherine Lucy Darcy in 1853 - or did he? I have not been able to locate a marriage record. I know he was alive in 1883 when he was hospitalised and survived the experience. What I haven't been able to find is a death record. James Bennett is a common name and there are quite a few possible candidates just in Victoria. James is last known to be alive in 1883, when he had a hospital visit which he survived. That same year he inherited 600 pounds from his father - yet I have not been able to find a probate or administration file for him.
